What’s in a Name? Plenty, for Paramount Coffee

As a way to attract consumer attention to its line of seasonal flavors in holiday-appropriate packaging, Lansing, Mich.-based Paramount Coffee Co. has christened the limited-time products with funny sobriquets.

One prime example is the medium-roast blend known as Ugly Sweater Coffee’s “Santa’s Gift to You,” which comes in a bright green package sporting a red patterned sweater (left). Another is Christmas Perk’s “Bag of Coal,” a dark-roast blend featuring a rich, smooth taste. Almost inevitably, Paramount’s Ho Ho Holiday roasts offer blends in “Naughty” dark chocolate or “Nice,” which is redolent of sweet vanilla and nutmeg.

Additionally, the company’s Holiday Classic Flavored Coffees have returned for the season of giving with “Christmas Truffle,” flavored with chocolate and dressed up in red-and-green packaging, and “Cup O’ Cheer,” a warm blend of pumpkin pie, cinnamon and ginger.

All of Paramount’s holiday coffees come in 12-ounce grounds retailing for a suggested $7.99 each, or together in a 36-count shipper display. Products are while supplies last. For more information, visit www.paramountcoffee.com.
