Weis Hires Ron Bonacci as VP of Marketing/Advertising

Ron Bonacci has joined Weis Markets Inc. as VP of marketing and advertising. In his new role, Bonacci has day-to-day oversight of the company’s advertising, marketing and public relations activities.

“Ron Bonacci has extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams in developing and implementing strategies for customer relationship management, marketing and advertising,” noted Richard Gunn, SVP, merchandising and marketing, to whom Bonacci reports. “He will also oversee our growing digital program.”

Before joining Weis Markets, Bonacci was senior director of marketing at Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets. Over the course of his career, he held similar roles at Food City and S&H Solutions. Earlier, he worked at Cincinnati-based Kroger in store operations, category management, merchandising and loyalty marketing.

Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis Markets operates 204 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.
