Walmart Syncs with Gladson CPG Product Database

Walmart is now synched with the consumer product content database operated by Gladson, a provider of product information and related services.

The integration to Walmart’s API gives manufacturers an option for product content capture, hosting and delivery to Walmart.

Serving as a one-stop shop to ensure products are represented in Walmart’s digital ecosystem, Gladson will capture, host and deliver product content on behalf of its manufacturer customers and according to Walmart’s requirements for data attributes and formats. Brands are offered a suite of product content services:

  • Product photography and attribute capture
  • Hosting of manufacturer-provided product content
  • Ongoing product content updates
  • Content syndication and delivery

“Our goal is to provide the most accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive product information to our customers — regardless of how they shop — to improve the shopping experience for our customers,” Ram Rampalli, global head of content acquisition for @WalmartLabs, wrote in a blog post.

Susan Sentell, Gladson CEO and president, said, “What we’re hearing from manufacturers is that distribution of their product content to Walmart and other retailers is a strategic priority, and they require a solution provider that has the content expertise to meet retailers’ complex and evolving technology requirements.”
