Wal-Mart's Advertising Chief Steps Down
BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.'s head of marketing communications has left the company, after spearheading the chain's recent switch to a new advertising agency.
Julie Roehm, who had been with the company for less than a year, stepped down earlier this week, along with Sean Womack, who was v.p. of marketing communications. Wal-Mart did not provide any details what led to the departures.
Wal-Mart recently awarded its advertising account to agencies owned by
Interpublic Group of Cos. Inc. and Aegis Group Plc.
