Unilever Unit Prez Steps Down

LONDON/ROTTERDAM - Unilever said yesterday that John Rice, president Americas, has decided to retire from the major consumer goods company, and will be replaced on the Unilever executive team by Michael Polk, who is currently group v.p. and president Unilever United States.

Rice has worked at Unilever for 25 years. He will step down in March 2007. Polk joined Unilever in 2003, after 16 years at Kraft.
