Unified Western Grocers Renews In-Store Advertising Program
COMMERCE, Calif. -- Regional wholesaler Unified Western Grocers, Inc. has extended its current in-store advertising program, which is available to the more than 240 member supermarkets in California, Oregon, and Washington that it services.
The wholesaler signed a four-year extension of its POPsign agreement with Insignia Systems, Inc., a Minneapolis-based developer and marketer of in-store advertising programs for retailers.
The POPsign program combines product information from consumer goods manufacturers with current, store-specific prices from retailers to produce a shelf-edge sign that's designed to grab customers at the point of purchase, according to Insignia. Each sign includes the maufacturer's product image, logo, brand name, and theme; product features and benefits; and the retailer's colors, logo, and store-specific prices.
