Tsunami Relief Goes Hollywood
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Hollywood Super Markets, a small chain of grocery stores in the metropolitan Detroit area, said yesterday that it has started matching customer donations, up to a total of $10,000, to help victims of the tsunami disaster.
According to Hollywood v.p. Thom Welch, shoppers who make their donations at any of the chain's stores will receive a cash register receipt for their contribution, labeled "Tsunami Relief." Hollywood will then double the amount. All funds will be sent to the Salvation Army South Asia Relief Fund. The stores will accept donations through Feb. 28, although they expect to reach their $10,000 goal within the month of January.
Hollywood has locations in Troy, Royal Oak, Bloomfield Hills, and Utica, Mich.
