Tops to Salute Moms With Cooking Class

Tops Markets LLC will offer a special class to enable young chefs to create a special treat for their moms. Just in time for Mother’s Day, A Tribute to Mom teaches kids 12 and up how to prepare a simple but sumptuous meal, and even how to clean up afterward.

Participants will learn how to make Green Salad with Blueberries and Asiago Cheese, Chicken Florentine in Puff Pastry with a Mushroom Sauce, Cheese Potato Pots, and Cream Puffs with Vanilla Cream, Drizzled with Chocolate.

The class will be held at both Tops Cooking School locations, in Amherst and West Seneca, N.Y., on Friday, May 12, from 6-8:30 pm, and will cost $18 per attendee.

“The Tops Cooking School provides a great learning environment where everyone can come together and learn great recipes that are easy to prepare and taste great, too,” said Grace Hanusin, regional cooking school manager at Williamsville, N.Y.-based Tops. “What’s more is that the ingredients used in these recipes are readily available for purchase in most Tops Markets, so participants can easily make these recipes at home.

Those interested in the classes at Tops Cooking School can visit the grocer’s website. To register, they can contact cooking school of their choice. Classes are subject to run based on enrollment.

Tops operates 172 supermarkets, with five additional run by franchisees under the Tops banner. The grocer employs more than 15,000 associates in New York, northern Pennsylvania, western Vermont, and north central Massachusetts.
