Tops Appoints Director of Accounts Payable
Tops Markets, LLC has named Gerald McGettigan as its director of accounts payable.
McGettigan will build and manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams at the new Tops Financial Services Center, the grocer said. He will oversee functions that are being reintegrated into Tops' operations in the wake of the December 2007 acquisition of the regional grocer by Morgan Stanley Private Equity.
Most recently, McGettigan was the director of merchandising accounting at Carteret, N.J.-based Pathmark Stores, Inc., which was acquired in late 2007 by A&P. Before that, he was a manager of finance, a logistics analyst, and a customer service manager at Pathmark.
Williamsville, N.Y.-based Tops and operates 71 full-service supermarkets and five franchise supermarkets, and employs over 10,000 associates.
