Swensen’s Markets Launches Food2U

Swensen’s Markets has launched Food2U, an e-commerce platform powered by Rosie, that is available in all three of its Twin Falls, Idaho, locations.

The mobile and web-based platform allows consumers to shop online and have their groceries delivered or pick them up at the store of their choice. A $3 fee is assessed for pickup order, or $6 for delivery within seven miles of one of the three stores. Delivery beyond 7 miles is also available for a higher fee. Customers can pick up their orders Monday through Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., or have the groceries delivered Monday through Saturday in two two-hour windows: noon to 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Orders must be placed at least three hours ahead of pickup or delivery, but can be placed up to six days in advance.

“Having lived and worked alongside our customers for more than five decades, Swensen’s has deep roots in the Magic Valley,” said Andrew Swensen, co-owner and VP of operations at Swensen’s Markets. “One of the secrets to our success has been offering services that our customers want. Swensen’s Food2U does just that, merging today’s technology with the quality products offered in our stores to create an easy, convenient and fun shopping experience.”

Swensen’s is a member of Salt Lake City-based Associated Food Stores (AFS), a cooperatively owned wholesale distributor serving nearly 500 independent supermarkets in eight states. AFS selected Ithaca, N.Y.-based Rosie as its recommended e-commerce partner in 2014.
