Supervalu Closing Former Fleming Warehouse
MASSILLON, Ohio -- Supervalu, Inc. announced it is closing the former Fleming Companies warehouse here that it is buying from C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., putting about 850 people out of work.

C&S then announced it would sell properties in Massillon; LaCrosse, Wis.; and Milwaukee to grocery store operator Supervalu, based in Minneapolis.
Supervalu, which has annual revenues of about $20 billion, with 1,436 retail grocery locations and a wholesale distribution network, has not said why it is closing the Massillon facility, effective Saturday.
