NASHVILLE, Ga. -- A former manager who was employed by Harvey's Supermarkets here has been charged with stealing more than $50,000 from the store he managed for eight years in Donalsonville, Ga., according to local reports.

Michael Ready of Donalsonville, Ga. was arrested Oct. 18 and charged with felony theft by taking. Local police said Ready stole $52,000 from Harvey's Supermarket on a daily or weekly basis over a period of about a year, beginning in November 2004.
