Stop & Shop Outsourcing Maintenance Services at Stores in 3 States
QUINCY, Mass. -- EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS), an Arlington, Va.-based subsidiary of Norwalk, Conn.'s EMCOR Group, Inc., said it will provide general maintenance services to 280 Stop & Shop supermarketsin Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, under the terms of a 38-month contract.
EMCOR said the stores owned and run by Stop & Shop, based here, will have their general maintenance services supported by the deployment of 35 mobile technicians located across EMCOR's local subsidiaries, with the aim of developing a predictive maintenance approach. EFS said it will absorb 47 Stop and Shop associates into its organization, among them full-time technicians and management personnel.
EFS said it offers engineering and technical consulting services that range from mechanical system design to forensic engineering, to environmental regulatory compliance consulting. The company provides both on-site and mobile service solutions supported by centralized knowledge and response centers, a nationwide network of locations, and vehicles manned by technicians.
