Sprouts Adds Kristen Blum to Board

Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. has added Kristen Blum, SVP and CIO of Plano, Texas-based Frito-Lay, to its board of directors, where she will use her 25-plus years of experience in developing strategies and designing IT solutions in the retail and CPG industries to help develop and execute Sprouts' long-term strategy.

At Frito-Lay, Blum leads the technology agenda for parent company PepsiCo’s $14 billion snack and convenient foods business. Previously, she was SVP and CIO of commercial solutions, innovation, data and analytics at Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, where she was responsible for creating global enterprise data and analytics solutions, and SVP and CIO of enterprise solutions. Blum has also been EVP and chief technology officer of J.C. Penney Co. Inc. and SVP and CIO of Abercrombie & Fitch, overseeing IT at each organization.

Phoenix-based natural grocer Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. operates more than 240 stores in 13 states from coast to coast.
