French Meadow Bakery™ has debuted five varieties of frozen whole grain sprouted breads and bagels: 16 Grain & Seed Bagels, Sprouted Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, Grain Bread, 16 Grain & Seed Bread, Cinnamon Raisin Bread. Made from six all-natural grains and legumes, each of the breads and bagels is 100 percent flourless, vegan and free of trans fats, according to the Minneapolis-based company. Sprouting involves soaking whole wheat berries in filtered water. When the berries sprout, the excess water is drained and the sprouts are then ground into dough. During the process, the germ of the grain releases enzymes that aid in the digestion of such products and allow the nutrients to be absorbed.
