Spartan Features Charging Stations at New Location

Spartan Stores Inc. has joined the growing list of retailers who've reached out to drivers of electric cars by installing charging stations at its 26th Quick Stop gas station, according to a Michigan Live report.

The Quick Stop, located in the Metro Health Village in Wyoming, Mich., is located next to an under-construction Family Fare supermarket that will eventually allow electric car drivers to charge while they shop for groceries. There will be no fee to plug in and charge, according to the report.

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spartan operates nearly 100 stores in the state under the Family Fare, Glen’s Market, Glen’s Fresh Market, VG’s Grocery, VG’s Fresh Market and D&W Fresh Market banners.
