Southeastern Grocers Opens 73 Harveys Stores

Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Bi-Lo, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores, has introduced its new Harveys Supermarket store concept in 73 locations across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida with a simultaneous ribbon-cutting ceremony at each store. According to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company, each location is tailored to the needs of its surrounding community, “with a focus on great value, stunning quality food and serving with personality.”

According to Southeastern Grocers, the ceremonies marked one of the largest single-day grocery store grand openings in its home region. Of the 73 stores converted, 11 were originally Bi-Lo stores, and seven were Winn-Dixie supermarkets. Harveys, Bi-Lo and Winn-Dixie are all Southeastern Grocers banners.

Further, the stores’ Great Low Price items and Low and Staying Low deals offer more than 3,000 products at significant savings throughout the store.

“For more than 90 years, Harveys Supermarket has been the local grocer that customers can count on for all their grocery needs,” noted Southeastern Grocers President and CEO Ian McLeod. “The Harveys banner expansion exemplifies our commitment to our near-century heritage and unwavering customer promise of providing great value, great prices and great service.”
