Southeastern Grocers Opens 73 Harveys Stores
Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Bi-Lo, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores, has introduced its new Harveys Supermarket store concept in 73 locations across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida with a simultaneous ribbon-cutting ceremony at each store. According to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company, each location is tailored to the needs of its surrounding community, “with a focus on great value, stunning quality food and serving with personality.”
According to Southeastern Grocers, the ceremonies marked one of the largest single-day grocery store grand openings in its home region. Of the 73 stores converted, 11 were originally Bi-Lo stores, and seven were Winn-Dixie supermarkets. Harveys, Bi-Lo and Winn-Dixie are all Southeastern Grocers banners.
