Six Grocers Launch DVD Rental Kiosk Promotion
HOUSTON, Texas -- New DVD kiosk customers at selected Kroger/KingSoopers, H-E-B, Publix, City Market, Super Fresh, and A&P supermarkets will receive a free one-night rental for as part of a new promotion launched yesterday by TNR Entertainment.
The kiosks involved in the special promotion, which was developed to draw new customers, are located in 291 stores in the states of Texas, Florida, Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware.
"We want as many shoppers as possible to benefit from the convenience and lower cost of DVD kiosk rentals, particularly as we embark on a major national expansion," said Tony Sciolla , c.m.o. for TNR Entertainment Corp., parent company of The New Release, owner and operator of self-service DVD rental kiosks in supermarkets and grocery stores.
TNR's kiosks house up to 1,000 units each, representing more than 200 titles including new releases. The automated kiosks operate on a wireless communications network and DVD kiosk operating system. DVD rentals are $1 per day, with no late fees.
