Shuman Produce Hires Biz Development, Produce For Kids Coordinator

REIDSVILLE, Ga. - Rick Estess has joined Shuman Produce Inc., as its new sales and business development director, while Kim Lathbury has been named new marketing coordinator.

Estess will primarily be responsible in overseeing sales and business development for Shuman's year-round RealSweet brand swet onion business and will also manage the company's category management programs and the sales efforts for the Produce for Kids retail partner program that supports Children's Miracle Network.

Estess comes to Shuman from Apio, Inc., where for the past 10 years he has served as regional sales manager for Apio, Inc..

With primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day marketing programs for Produce for Kids, Lathbury will also coordinate specific marketing projects for Shuman's year around sweet onion business as well.

Lathbury most recently served as an account executive with a travel and leisure focused advertising agency, where she managed the day-to-day relationships and marketing projects with clients such as Fontainebleau Suites, Affinia Hotels, Mayan Resorts and Disney Travel Trade.

Prior to her experience with YPB&R, Lathbury served as an account representative for Universal Orlando Resort within the partnership development department, where she managed national and on-site corporate and preferred partner marketing programs/sponsorships for Universal Parks & Resorts.
