ShopRite Store Unveils State-of-the-art Lighting

The recently opened ShopRite at the Wishing Well Plaza, in Burlington, N.J., boasts a cutting-edge lighting system, thanks to Oakland, N.J.-based Amerlux.

"Our spectacular new ShopRite is lit right by Amerlux," noted Geoffrey Eickhoff, VP operations and owner of Eickhoff Supermarkets, a member of the Keasbey, N.J.-based Wakefern Food Corp. retail cooperative. "Wishing Well Plaza ShopRite in Burlington County marks a new era for Eickhoff Supermarkets. We designed it with 'experiential engineering' in mind, a refined yet revolutionary approach to in-store lighting, architecture and store design."

The system features contour track-head systems to provide high-performance accent lighting for floral, produce, the butcher shop, and end caps. Additionally, Cylindrix IV (C4) creates ambient light to add brilliance to produce and end caps; the compact, powerful Hornet HP LED aims to bring out the colors in seafood; and the Producer brings linear lighting to the bakery, butcher shop and cash-wrap areas.

Beyond its innovative lighting desing, Eickhoff Supermarkets has revived a dormant location, transferred 100 employees from its old Willingboro, N.J., location and provided more than 200 new jobs in the area.
