ShopRite to Open Hospital Pharmacy

ShopRite will open a seven-day-a-week pharmacy inside Pennsylvania’s Doylestown Hospital on June 1.The pharmacy, situated just off the hospital’s north lobby, is the banner’s first location within a medical facility.

“We are committed to partnering with Doylestown Hospital, following its high quality standards of patient care and service to the community,” said Joe Cowhey, president of the Cowhey Family Supermarket, the family business that owns and operates the nearby ShopRite of Warminster.

Convenient Services

As well as filling prescriptions, the pharmacy will offer a wide assortment of over-the-counter medications. Additionally, patients treated at the medical office adjacent to the hospital can have their prescriptions filled before they leave the hospital grounds.

In other ShopRite of Warminster news, the store will present a check for $20,000 to Philabundance, the Delaware Valley's largest hunger relief organization, on April 24. The donation was raised as part of the ShopRite banner's annual "Check Out Hunger" campaign.

ShopRite, the registered trademark of Keasbey, N.J.-based retailer-owned cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., has more than 250 supermarkets located throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.
