Schnucks Hosts Celeb Chef for Seasonal Promotion

Just in time for peak holiday baking season, Schnuck Markets said it is bringing Rebecca Rather, nationally celebrated pastry chef and author of The Pastry Queen Christmas, to its stores to meet fans and sign her book.

Rather is set to appear at the Schnucks Cooks kiosks at the Woods Mill store Dec. 11 from 4:00-6:30 p.m.; and the Clayton and Lindbergh store Dec. 12 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

At each event, Schnucks Cooks coaches will recreate one of Rather's holiday recipes made famous at her Texas restaurant, The Rather Sweet Bakery and Cafe. Schnucks customers will have an opportunity to sample hot desserts right out of the oven and learn how Rather has cultivated such a loyal following in her home town of Fredericksburg, Tex.

Rather's new cookbook, available at Schnucks for $32.50, features nearly 100 traditional holiday recipes offering "a taste of small town Texas."

During the events, shoppers will also have the opportunity to pick up a copy of the Schnucks Cooks magazine for $0.99, or free with a $50 purchase.

Schnuck Markets, Inc. operates 105 stores (including five Logli stores) and 101 pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
