Schnuck Teams With Tickets.com For Cardinals Tickets, Adds EarthShell Dinnerware

ST. LOUIS -- Schnuck Markets here is partnering with Tickets.com, a leading provider of integrated ticketing solutions, to sell St. Louis Cardinals tickets.

"We're excited to partner with Tickets.com and provide St. Louis Cardinals fans an additional avenue to purchase tickets," said Denis Oldani, Schnucks' director of video services. "Our goal is to provide our customers with a total shopping experience, and Cardinals ticket sales are just one of the many value-added services shoppers will find at their local Schnucks."

This partnership, in time to help with high ticket demand for the new Busch Stadium, offers a one-stop-shopping experience for Cardinals fans, who can buy milk, bread and tickets in a single trip. Schnucks offers a convenient and easy ticket-purchasing option in addition to buying online or at the box office.

"The excitement around the Cardinals and their new stadium makes every game such a fun experience," said Andy Donkin, co-president of Tickets.com. "So we teamed with the Cardinals and Schnucks to make sure Cardinals fans have plenty of ways to join in the fun, providing ticketing at convenient retail locations located across greater St Louis. And Schnucks is such a good match for us -- they want to provide their customers a great shopping experience every time they make a purchase."

In other news, Schnucks has added EarthShell Corp.'s environmentally friendly dinnerware -- including nine-inch plates in 25-count packages and 12-ounce bowls in 30-count packages -- to its lineup.

Said Schnucks category manager Steve Fahrig: "We are pleased to offer EarthShell products to our customers. Schnucks is an environmentally responsible retailer that supports recycling initiatives in communities across all of the markets we serve. As we prepare to kick off the grilling and picnic season, it's nice to know there is a biodegradable product choice available."

Earthshell Corp. presented an award to Schnucks for its leadership position in environmental packaging last month during a ribbon-cutting event at the first dedicated manufacturing facility of EarthShell's U.S. licensee, ReNewable Products, Inc. Sen. Christopher S. "Kit" Bond (R-Mo.) recognized Schnucks during his remarks as primary speaker at the ribbon-cutting event.

Schnucks currently operates 102 stores (including five Logli stores) and 99 pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Iowa.
