Save-A-Lot 'Fueling Family Meals' Via Free-groceries-for-a-year Sweeps
Limited-assortment grocer Save-A-Lot Food Stores is whipping up a creative contest that offers entrants prizes for submitting original family food recipes.
The contest -- dubbed "Fuel Your Family Meal Solutions" -- enlists participants to submit a meal solution either on the Save-A-Lot Web site or by visiting a local store. Requirements for a meal solution are an original recipe or favorite family meal that features products purchased exclusively at Save-A-Lot and that falls into one of seven categories: breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, snacks, international and healthy.
Contest entrants will be qualified to win the grand prize -- a year's worth of Save-A-Lot groceries valued at $5,200. Seven runners-up will also win a $250 Save-A-Lot gift card.
Aside from seeking appetizing recipe ideas, the contest being hosted by the St. Louis-based Supervalu subsidiary is also unique because it also seeks to celebrate the inspirational stories that surround the cooking experience.
