Sainsbury's IT Head to Be Replaced
LONDON, United Kingdom - Sainsbury's head of IT Maggie Miller is leaving only weeks after the company was forced to write off $310 million because of problems with supply chain systems.
Miller is being succeeded by Angela Morrison, director of European strategy at Asda and formerly the executive in charge of IT at the Wal-Mart subsidiary.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury's said it has resolved the supply chain problems that left staff unable to properly stock shelves at stores.
The supermarket giant is also renegotiating its outsourcing contract with Accenture.
Several executives have left Sainsbury's this year since the arrival of chief executive Justin King.
