Roundy's Banners Offering 'Dual Fuels' Promo
In a bid to help customers stretch their holiday dollars, Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. trio of grocery banners -- Pick 'n Save, Copps, and Rainbow - have kicked off a new Dual Fuels II promotion to help them save on gas, groceries, or gifts.
The promotion, which enables shoppers to choose where they want to save, works like this:
For every $50 spent at participating Pick 'n Save, Copps or Rainbow stores, customers will earn 1 premium (or coupon), the value of which appears on the sales receipt. The more premiums collected, the more savings shoppers can enjoy on groceries, gas or gifts by redeeming premiums for Roundy's, Best Buy or BP gift and gas cards.
"We know that the economy is taking a toll on customers' budgets," said Robert Mariano, Roundy's chairman/c.e.o. "This program helps them stretch their dollars and gives them a choice of whether they want to save on groceries, gas or gifts while they're shopping during the holidays."
Customers can enjoy additional savings through Dual Fuels II "Energized Buy Items," which are designated on the store shelf and in weekly ads and which will generate an additional coupon that will print below the premium on sales receipts. Coupons for Energized Buys have an expiration date of two weeks.
The weeklong promotion begins December 20, 2008 and runs through December 27, 2008.
With nearly $4 billion in sales and 20,000 employees, Roundy's operates 152 retail grocery stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Rainbow and Metro Market banners in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
