Richard C. Moseley, 52-year Stater Bros. Vet, Dies
COLTON, Calif. -- Richard C. Moseley, e.v.p. emeritus, and a 52-year veteran of Stater Bros. Markets here, passed away on October 23.
"Richard served Stater Bros. for 52 years and his legacy lives on today in the supermarket industry and with Stater Bros," said Jack H. Brown, chairman of the board and c.e.o. "No one ever cared more about the Stater Bros. 'Family', and no one ever supported me more than Richard C. Moseley."
Moseley joined Stater Bros. in 1953 as a clerk, and progressed through a range of positions in store operations and marketing. He served as store manager, store supervisor, general supervisor, v.p. marketing, group s.v.p. marketing, and finally e.v.p. Although he continued to serve as a director, advisor, and consultant, Moseley retired from his day-to-day responsibilities at Stater Bros. in 1995.
Stater Bros. operates 161 Supermarkets serves San Bernardino County and Riverside County, Calif., and employs a staff of 17,000.
