Revamped Beef Retail Marketing Web Site Adds Resources to Help Boost Demand

After an extensive overhaul, the Beef Checkoff-funded Retail Marketing Web site -- www.BeefRetail.org -- has undergone a makeover to make it easier for retailers to find information.

Originally launched in 2004, the improved site, which focuses on better meeting retailer needs, features noticeable upgrades, including valuable information and resources, a new navigation bar, and a streamlined format to help users effectively market and sell more beef.

Among the changes of the new retail beef site:

--A more user-friendly home page features tabbed sections to help retailers quickly identify and link to favorite spots, including beef recipes and photography (formerly the ad planner), sales and feature data, and timely articles on seasonal merchandising

-- A new “Hot Topics” section keeps retailers up to date on the latest retail beef industry news

--A revamped resources section gives retailers easy access to the materials they need on a daily basis to keep their meat departments running smoothly and profitably. Retailers can access beef-cut charts, customer handouts and point-of-sale materials

--A new Spotlights Section includes articles on retailers that have increased beef demand by tying into Beef checkoff-funded promotions and programs. The features highlight the ways retailers are making a special effort to keep the focus on beef in their meat cases

The BeefRetail.org Web site is managed by the Centennial, Colo.-based National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, which contracts to manage retail programs for the beef checkoff. For more information, visit www.BeefRetail.org.
