Retail Merchandiser's Dollar Store Summit Set for August
NEW YORK - Retail Merchandiser, sister publication to Progressive Grocer, said that its fourth strategic information exchange meeting for extreme value retailers and their suppliers will be held Aug. 23 and 24 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.
Like the previous meetings, the Dollar Store and Extreme Value Retailing Summit IV will feature private meetings between suppliers and the leading dollar store and value retail chains. These 20-minute sessions allow both parties to review new business opportunities or talk about the continuity of existing programs in a concise format.
The previous summit, in March, drew executives from 18 key retail chains across the United States and Canada, as well as more than 20 vendors of nationally branded products. Top executives from Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, 99¢ Only Stores, Big Lots, Bi-Lo, and Variety Wholesalers were among the retailers represented.
