Redner's Markets Expands Territory With First Maryland Unit
READING, Pa. -- Redner's Warehouse Markets is poised to enter a new territory south of the Mason-Dixon line with the addition of a new warehouse supermarket in Elkton, Md.
The store will be Redner's 51st and first location in Maryland. Construction is slated to begin in May, pending land development approval for new construction. The new 52,000-square-foot location, at Whitehall Road and Route 213, is currently scheduled to open in December 2005.
Last week, the family-held Redner's organization also unveiled plans for two new locations in Hamburg and Whitehall Township, Pa., which will mark the regional family operator's 49th and 50th stores in eastern Pennsylvania.
Redner's operates 37 Warehouse Markets and 11 Quick Shoppes throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New York.
