Red Vines Whips Summer Into Gear

This summer, Red Vines licorice is inviting Facebook fans to share their favorite Red Vines memories through its interactive “Red Vines Summer of Sharing” contest for a chance to win $1,000. 

To enter, licorice lovers can visit Red Vines’ Facebook page to post their favorite memories associated with the candy brand, as well as read competing entries and vote for the best ones. The nine entries with the most votes will receive summer prize packs while the grand-prize winner will take home a $1,000 Visa gift card.  Entries will be accepted through Sept. 30.

Red Vines evoke a lot of nostalgia for people that grew up with them, from family road trips to little league games, camping, picnics, and Saturday afternoons at the movies,” said Michael Kelly, consumer communications manager for the Bend, Ore.-based American Licorice Company. “Fun and sharing are what Red Vines are all about, so the ‘Summer of Sharing’ contest is a perfect way to do both.”

As one of the country’s oldest confectioners, the American Licorice Company has inspired countless summer memories since its inception in 1914.
