Quaker Oats Co. Supports Classrooms in Need

The Quaker Oats Co. has partnered with to donate up to $250,000 to teachers nationwide, in an effort to combat the more than $1 billion that teachers spend out-of-pocket each year to stock their own classrooms.

Through Sept. 30, consumers can purchase specially marked Quaker products and enter the package code online. Each entry will trigger a $1 donation from Quaker, up to $250,000, that will help up to 2,000 teachers. Participants will also receive a coupon for $1 off Quaker products.

“Quaker has been helping to fuel and inspire families for more than 135 years by offering foods made with the power of whole grain oats," a spokesperson for Chicago-based Quaker Foods, told PG. "This partnership with, along with other Quaker partners like Fuel Up to Play 60 and GenYouth, help Quaker raise awareness and drive solutions for improving wellness for the families and communities we serve.”

The funds teachers receive from can be used to purchase a variety of resources including school supplies, breakfast foods and snacks.

Program participants can also share their own teacher appreciation stories on social media using the #QuakerUp hashtag.
