Publix Recalls Purified Drinking Water
LAKELAND, Fla. -- Publix Super Markets here issued a voluntary recall on its Publix 1-gallon (3.78L) purified drinking water on Friday. The regional retailer said the water might not meet Publix quality specifications for taste and odor.
The product was distributed in Publix stores in the following counties: Broward, Miami-Dade, Indian River, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Palm Beach, Florida.
"We have received notification from customers as to the odor and taste of the purified drinking water," said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations. "Therefore, we're issuing a voluntary recall because customer satisfaction and safety are our first priorities."
Brous advised customers who have purchased the recalled product to return it to their store for a full refund or replacement.
