Publix Offers Online Videos on Turkey Roasting, Carving
For the holiday-feast challenged, Publix Super Markets is featuring online video instruction for how to prepare for turkey day. The grocer's Web site features three videos covering the whole shebang: "Preparing and Roasting the Turkey," "Carving and Serving the Turkey," and "Making Gravy for the Turkey."
Each video also includes a companion cheat sheet that consumers can print out to use in the kitchen. The information sheets include photos throughout the step-by-step processes.
"Preparing and Roasting the Turkey" includes instructions in turkey selection, how much turkey is needed per person, thawing the turkey, and removing the giblets and neck, something many new cooks forget.
"Making Gravy for the Turkey" includes "the perfect gravy recipe". Publix also includes three recipes in "Turkey Tips and Hints" on its Web site for Maple-Glazed Turkey Roast, Buttery Cider-Glazed Turkey and Herbed Lemon Turkey Breast.
