Publix Launches Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Campaign

Publix Super Markets is holding its annual Miracle Balloon Campaign for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The campaign's Miracle Balloon coupons, available at checkout from Memorial Day weekend through June 12, cost $1, $3 and $5 and offer values of $5.50, $10 and $20. Funds raised during the three-week effort will help hospitals in communities where Publix operates procure life-saving equipment and provide research, education and outreach programs.

"Children’s hospitals are charities that need donations to provide life-saving treatments," noted John Lauck, president and CEO of Salt Lake City-based Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "In fact, 62 children enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute. Publix is a leader in the grocery world and in helping their communities."

This is the 23rd year that the Lakeland, Fla.-based grocer has offered the program, during which customers receive 10 vendor coupons for each contribution.

One of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ top-10 fundraising partners, Publix has raised more than $30 million for the organization since 1992. This year, it hopes to surpass 2014’s total of almost $3.3 million, raised for 23 member hospitals.

Privately-owned and -operated by its 175,500 employees, Publix has 1,102 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.
