Price Chopper Transportation, Warehousing Veeps Swap Jobs

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets here said yesterday that W. Thomas Bird has become v.p. of transportation and Robert Doyle has become v.p. of warehousing. Both men report directly to Ron Cellupica, v.p. of distribution. Bird was previously v.p. of warehousing, and Doyle was v.p. of transportation.

Bird will now oversee all aspects of transportation, including trucking, traffic, and vehicle fleet maintenance for the chain. Doyle will take over all aspects of warehousing.

Both executives started their careers at Price Chopper in 1976. Bird served in store operations and warehousing positions, while Doyle held positions in store operations and human resources.
