Price Chopper Taps Two Execs for Pharmacy and Supply Chain

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets/Golub Corp. said yesterday that Kathleen Bryant had been promoted to director of pharmacy operations, and Mark Chandler had been hired as v.p. of supply chain integration.

In her new role Bryant, reporting directly to Vincent Mainella, v.p. of pharmacy, will oversee pharmacy operations for the entire chain. A Price Chopper employee since 2003, Bryant most recently held the position of pharmacy specialist. Before joiing Price Chopper, she was c.o.o. for Bellevue Women's Hospital and was director of pharmacy at both Putnam Hospital Center and Coney Island Hospital.

Chandler will report directly to c.f.o. John Endres, and in the newly created position will guide the development of a new supply chain strategy. Before he joined Price Chopper, Chandler served as the CPG industry director for Kurt Salmon Associates. He began his career in retail operations management with Exxon, handling pricing and distribution, among other duties.

A resident of Atlanta, Chandler and his family will shortly be relocating to upstate New York.

The Golub Corp. owns and operates 110 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The company employs more than 23,000 associates who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
