PM Beef Names New Food Safety Director
WINDOM, Minn. -- Ram Prasai has joined PM Beef Holdings based here as director of quality and food safety.
With 10 years of industry experience, Prasai also has several years of teaching and research experience in academia with major emphasis on the microbiological safety and shelf life of food during production, processing, distribution and storage.
Having received his advanced degree in microbiology from Texas A&M, Prasai has authored/co-authored numerous articles, abstracts and presentations. The company said he will be an integral part of its quality and food safety initiatives, and will be involved in all aspects of food safety at both PM Beef's Windom, Minn., facility as well as its Specialty Foods division based in Richmond, Vir.
