Piggly Wiggly Debuts Cash-off Coupons
Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. Inc. has rolled out “Comeback Cash,” a program that provides cash-off coupons for customers shopping with a Pig Card. As their cumulative monthly spending grows, customers earn coupons that enable them to save money.
When a shopper’s monthly spend passes $200, she earns a $2-off coupon; those who spend $400 a month earn a $4-off coupon on top of the $2-off coupon, for a total savings of $6, and so on. Coupons are printed at checkout when these various spending levels are met, and the coupons are then redeemable on the customer’s next purchase at Piggly Wiggly.
Other ways to save at “The Pig,” as the Charleston, S.C.-based grocery chain is affectionately known, are Greenbax, which may be used to get groceries, gift cards and gas free, and a recently introduced “Double Coupons” program allowing shoppers to double as many as 10 manufacturer’s coupons worth up to 99 cents any day of the week. The grocer is also expanding its Click’n Shop initiative, with 26 new locations set to offer the online shopping service by the end of the year.
“With Double Coupons, Comeback Cash and collecting Greenbax, The Pig provides unbeatable value for today, tomorrow, and down the road,” said David Schools, president and CEO of Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co., which has more than 100 stores and more than 4,000 employee-owners throughout South Carolina and coastal Georgia.
