PG Parent Appoints New Media Brand Chief
Jeff Greisch has joined Progressive Grocer’s parent company, EnsembleIQ, as its new chief brand officer. With more than 30 years of industry leadership encompassing significant tenures at multiple media companies, Greisch will lead all aspects of the company’s business-to-business media brands and marketing group.
In his new role, Greisch will take the helm of an extensive portfolio of media and information brands — among them Progressive Grocer, Shopper Marketing, MURTEC, Convenience Store News, Store Brands, RIS News, Consumer Goods Technology and Hospitality Technology — that serve a broad spectrum of the North American retail markets, including convenience, grocery, pharmacy, hospitality, store-brand/private label and specialty gourmet.
Greisch comes to Chicago-based EnsembleIQ from Amos Media, where he led the company’s turnaround using a multifaceted plan focused on portfolio improvement and rationalization, audience development, and digital migration. Prior to that, at Reed Elsevier, Greisch was president of the company’s Chicago division, where he led 35 print, online, direct marketing and research properties. At Capital Cities/ABC, he was VP and group publisher for Fairchild Publications’ HFD Group.
Noting EnsembleIQ’s “fantastic industry-leading brands in growing and vibrant vertical sectors,” Greisch said that he looks forward to “to further enhancing our position as the indispensable media and information partner for our critical markets.”
“The addition of Jeff to the EnsembleIQ executive team signals another significant step forward for our growing company,” said EnsembleIQ President and CEO Peter Hoyt. “We’re confident his considerable skills and experience will help us marshal our information, technology and media resources as we continue to ramp up our capability to help the audiences we serve and their organizations to find success.”
