PG Innovative Store Design Profile: The Fresh Grocer of Monument Road
Brown’s Super Stores, which operates 11 ShopRite supermarkets in the Philadelphia-area, recently debuted its second Fresh Grocer store at 4160 Monument Road in Philadelphia.
Featuring an expanded selection of fresh foods, natural and organic, kosher foods, and beer and wine, Brown’s 55,000-square-foot Fresh Grocer, located at the site of a former Pathmark, was extensively renovated to showcase the latest concepts in layout, design, equipment and fixtures.
A highlight of the new Fresh Grocer is Brown’s Chef’s Market, which offers a wide variety of signature prepared meals, including fire-grilled chicken, “sticky ribs,” Southern fried chicken and fish, as well as Chinese food, sushi, and a soup and salad bar.
In addition to restaurant-quality entrees at affordable prices, many of the most popular items sold in all of Brown’s ShopRite stores, including store-made sweet potato pie, are also available at the new Fresh Grocer of Monument Road.
“These offerings will support our customer’s efforts toward a healthy lifestyle and at more affordable costs compared to other natural and organic retailers,” explained Jeff Brown, president and CEO of Brown’s Super Stores.
Another highlight of the store is a beer garden with extensive craft beer options and various wine selections available for consumption in either the store’s indoor and outdoor café or at home.
