Peapod enters Northwest Indiana
Online grocer Peapod has expanded its service to northwest Indiana, according to a published report. Residents of the area can now visit www.peapod.com to do their grocery shopping from over 1,000 items on sale weekly.
Additionally, shoppers can compose grocery lists, find nutrition information online and quickly sort products by price or nutrition criteria. Groceries are chosen per customer specifications from Peapod and can be delivered as soon as the day after an order is placed.
Customers can also place an order from a hotel while away from home and arrange for groceries to be delivered on their return.
"Our intent is to keep expanding in Indiana," Peapod SVP and GM Scott DeGraeve told The Times of Munster, Ind., but he didn't reveal future plans in that state or elsewhere. Peapod officials were unavailable for further comment.
Serving over 300,000 customers yearly, Peapod serves 22 markets in the United States including the metro Chicago area, which is close to northwest Indiana.
