Nestlé Pure Life Launches 2012 Hydration Movement
To educate consumers on the importance of healthy hydration, Nestlé Pure Life has rolled out its 2012 Nestlé Pure Life Hydration Movement. The initiative is an extension of the past two years’ successful pledge program in which more than 99,000 families promised to switch one sugared beverage a day for water for a year. This year, Nestlé Pure Life is making it even easier for consumers to join up by introducing the Hydration Movement on its Facebook page.
Consumers who take the pledge will help eliminate an estimated 50,000 calories from their family’s diet. Participants will also receive one $1-off coupon toward the purchase of Nestlé Pure Life Purified Water and can enter a sweepstakes to win a year’s supply of free Nestlé Pure Life bottled water.
“Living a healthy lifestyle is often seen as eating right and exercising, but hydrating healthfully is extremely important,” noted Bonnie Taub-Dix, registered dietitian and author of “Read It Before You Eat It.” “It is more important than ever to teach families about smart beverage choices. Making a simple effort -- such as joining the Nestlé Pure Life Hydration Movement and taking the pledge -- is a small way to make a big impact on living a healthy lifestyle.”
On Facebook, consumers can encounter thousands of other people who’ve taken the pledge, share their stories with friends and family, and upload pictures illustrating their progress.
“Nestlé Pure Life is committed to helping families live a healthier life,” said Maude Ancone brand manager, Nestlé Pure Life, a brand of Stamford, Conn.-based Nestlé Waters North America Inc. “The incredible success of the last two years’ Hydration Movement programs demonstrates that families are willing to make simple changes toward a healthier lifestyle, and this year we hope to inspire thousands more and make it even easier for families to take the pledge.”
The No. 1 bottled water brand by volume according to New York-based Beverage Marketing Corp., Nestlé Pure Life goes through a multistep filtration process and is enhanced with a unique blend of minerals.
