Starbucks Coffee Co. is expanding its packaged coffee portfolio in the grocery, drug and mass retailer channels. As well to the current 12-ounce size, the Seattle-based coffee purveyor now offers 5-ounce packages in House Blend, Colombia, and Caffé Verona® varieties, making it easy for shoppers to try Starbucks coffee, and 20-ounce value-sized packages in House Blend, Breakfast Blend and French Roast varieties. Additionally Pike Place Roast™, the best-selling whole bean coffee brewed daily in U.S. Starbucks stores in the U.S., can now be bought at retail. Most coffee packages include an ongoing offer redeemable at participating Starbucks locations for a complimentary Tall (12-fluid-ounce) brewed coffee when customers bring in their empty bag. Suggested retail prices are $4.29 for a 5-ounce package, $12.99 and for a 20-ounce package and $8.99 for a 12-ounce package of Pike Place Roast™, which takes its name from the first Starbucks store in the King City’s historic Pike Place Market.
