Monica C. Lozano Named Board Director at Target

Monica C. Lozano has joined the board of Target Corp. as its new director, effective immediately.

Lozano served for four years as CEO of Hispanic media company ImpreMedia, and was previously publisher and CEO of La Opinión, America's largest Hispanic newspaper.

Bringing more than 15 years of public board experience to Minneapolis-based Target, Lozano has held leadership roles with the National Council of La Raza, and also served as a member of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness as well as the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board.

"Monica is a highly influential, accomplished business leader who will bring more than 30 years of experience to Target’s board of directors," said Chairman and CEO Brian Cornell, who recently discussed the company's forthcoming transformation and long-term financial plans during Target's latest investors meeting.

"We will benefit greatly from her deep Hispanic insights and expertise as we drive Target’s strategic roadmap forward," Cornell said.

Target Corp. operates 1,793 stores as well as Target.com.
