MOM’s Opens Eighth Store
MOM's Organic Market will open its newest organic grocery store at 424 Eldon St. in Herndon, Va., on Oct. 28.
The Rockville, Md.-based specialty food retailer will showcase high quality 100 percent organic fruits and vegetables, as well as organic grocery and wellness products. The Herndon location will offer gourmet cheeses, sustainable seafood, craft beers and wines, gluten-free foods, raw foods, local and organic meats and dairy items, bulk foods, pet products and environmentally friendly household products.
"We are very happy to be opening our second Virginia store. Herndon is a fantastic community, and we look forward to being a part of it," said Scott Nash, founder and CEO of MOM's.
MOM's has continued to uphold its purpose to protect and restore the environment during the construction of its Herndon market by using low VOC paint, efficient closed-door coolers, LED bulbs, renewable building materials and skylights. Powered exclusively by wind power, the Herndon MOM's also features two electric car charging stations and recycling for CFL bulbs and batteries.
The grand opening will feature local vendor demonstrations, in-house samplings, kid's activities, raffle drawings and goody bags.
