Minnesota Grocers Association Names Best in Class

The Minnesota Grocers Association (MGA) has named Kowalski’s Market, Woodbury, its Best in Class Retailer, and Dean Foods, Woodbury, its Best in Class Vendor, during the recent MGA Industry Connects luncheon.

“The MGA is so proud to recognize the dedication and achievements of those whose day to day efforts are laying the foundation for a vibrant and thriving industry,” said Jamie Pfuhl, MGA president. “These winners demonstrate the hard work and commitment to excellence that makes our industry truly great.”

This year was the inaugural for the awards, which acknowledge the "best of the best" in the Minnesota food industry, based on the prior year’s performance. The first recipients were honored for leadership that went above and beyond and brought positive growth to the company through store-level directives. Nominees were judged on positive sales growth due to the development and execution of new programs; the ability to foster company engagement while providing an opportunity for employees’ personal and professional development; as well as community involvement and support.
