Mexican American Grocers Association to Honor Coca-Cola with Partnership of the Decade Award

LOS ANGELES - The Mexican American Grocers Association will present The Coca-Cola Company with its national "Partnership of the Decade" award on Wednesday evening.

"This award truly represents our special relationship with MAGA over the last 20 years and our continuing involvement over the next decade to come," said Jeffrey T. Dunn, president and COO, Coca-Cola North America.

The award is being presented at MAGA's 25th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet, where scholarship certificates will be awarded to select students. The Coca-Cola Company's support of MAGA's Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet dates back to 1981 with event sponsorship and scholarship funding.

The Mexican American Grocers Association (MAGA) is a national non-profit organization, founded in 1977 by a small group of Mexican American grocery store owners. MAGA's goal is to help both retail and manufacturing segments of the grocery industry capture a larger share of the burgeoning Mexican/Latino market, and in so doing, increase community access to quality grocery products.
