McCaffrey’s to Open Two New Locations

Suburban Philadelphia indepedent grocer McCaffrey’s is expanding with two new locations this spring in Doylestown and Blue Bell, Pa.

The new stores will feature the Yardley, Pa.-based McCaffrey’s signature departments, such as quality produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery and floral, as well as gourmet, chef-crafted prepared foods. All of the full service departments will be staffed with chefs, butchers, seafood and cheesemongers, bakers and baristas from open to close.

The 50,000-square-foot Blue Bell store also will feature freshly prepared artisan pizzas, a crepe station, a gourmet sandwich station, fresh sushi and a beer garden with hundreds of craft selections from both local and international brewers. The location also will offer online ordering with pick up at the store.

The new location in Doylestown, which will be called Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, is a more compact footprint. At 13,000 square feet, Simply Fresh will offer the “best of” McCaffrey’s, such as organic products, hundreds of cheeses, custom cakes and a comfortable seating area. The store was delayed in opening due to building issues from the historical building that had been unoccupied for several years.

McCaffrey’s currently operates stores in Yardley and Newtown, Pa., as well as Princeton and West Windsor, N.J.
