Martin’s Opens 1st C-Store in South Bend, Ind.

Martin’s Super Markets opened its first convenience store – Martin’s Express – at 425 Mayflower Road on South Bend's west side. As the company’s first foray into the convenience store format, the new Martin's Express is part of the ongoing project to build a replacement store on Western Ave. that’s expected to open in 2017.

Martin’s Express offers a wide range of ready-to-eat hot and cold foods, including Eisbenburg jumbo all-beef franks, Bob Evan’s biscuits and gravy, Martin’s signature donuts, Bosco sticks, popcorn chicken and a wide variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads.

The new store, which includes a dining area for on-site meal consumption, also features a Coffee Beanery coffee bar, Caribbean Cream and F’Real Milkshakes.

Other features include a Notre Dame Federal Credit Union ATM machine, as well as serving as a Hoosier Lottery ticket sales location.

The South Bend, Ind.-based Martin’s Super Markets has 19 locations in Indiana and three in Michigan.
